Some organizations qualify for tax-exempt purchases. If your business, school, or government department is exempt from paying sales tax, you can still purchase our software without tax being applied. This article explains how to submit your exemption documentation and complete a tax-free purchase through our payment provider, Paddle.
Submitting Your Tax Exemption Documentation (Paddle)
Our payment processor, Paddle, manages all tax-related matters for purchases made through our website. To request tax-exempt status, please send your valid tax exemption certificate to: assist@paddle.com
Paddle’s buyer support team will review your documentation and verify your eligibility.
Purchasing Without Tax (Paddle)
After Paddle verifies your exemption documentation, they will provide a tax-exempt purchase link, allowing you to complete your order without any sales tax added.
When contacting Paddle, please include the name of the product you wish to purchase.

EU VAT ID Purchases (FastSpring)
If you are based in the European Union, you can enter your EU VAT ID during checkout to remove VAT from your order.
To do this:
- Visit our FastSpring store:
https://wideangle.onfastspring.com/ - Select your product.
- On the checkout page, enter your valid EU VAT ID (this option appears below the order total).
- If the VAT ID is valid, VAT will be removed automatically before completing your purchase.
Please note that orders placed via FastSpring are for lifetime licences.
Requesting a Tax Refund for an Existing Order
If you have already purchased a product and sales tax was applied, our payment processors Paddle and FastSpring can still issue a tax refund once your exemption documentation has been verified.
To request a refund, simply email your tax exemption certificate and your order details to: assist@paddle.com
For FastSpring purchases you can contact orderscontact@fastspring.com
If your documentation is valid, Paddle/FastSpring will process the tax refund accordingly.
